SCMH Official Address Change Set for 16 June 2014

Southern California Material Handling announces June 16, 2014 as the official occupancy date at its new location on 12393 Slauson Avenue, Whittier, CA 90606.

After much anticipation, SCMH’s extensive inventory of brand new equipment, premium pre-owned lift trucks, brand new rental fleet, and highly re-stocked parts will have an equally fresh home to call their own.

“No move is easy, particularly if we are talking about the physical transfer of inventory as huge as our company’s” COO Mike Wolfe shares, “but our plans are in place and our customers should experience no downtime at all.” Wolfe assures that operations will be up and running Monday, June 16^th and that SCMH’s doors, phone lines, and online communication will be open to all customers, as usual.

The new facility is designed to allow a more cohesive workflow among departments and employees—translating into even more efficient results for the customers. “We are proud to have a new facility that is more conducive to entertaining clients and giving them easier access to view specific equipment they are interested in.” Nathan Figgins, Sales General Manager points out.

While SCMH has invested in a facility that boasts of many upgrades and improvements, its main investment remains highly on its employees—the people who propel its growth now and into the future.

SCMH Announces Relocation to New Whittier Headquarters

Pico Rivera, California, April 9, 2014:  Southern California Material Handling (SCMH) Chief Operating Officer Mike Wolfe announced during a recent all-employee meeting relocation to a new facility.

The relocation to 12393 Slauson Avenue, Whittier CA, 90606 will commence in the first week of June and will be home to about 100 of SCMH’s current employees in the Pico Rivera branch. The San Fernando Valley branch will retain its current address on 8124 Deering Avenue, Canoga Park, CA 91304.

The newly remodeled facility in Whittier is a welcome respite for some employees who have been in the Pico Rivera location for over 35 years. It comes with updates and an open floor plan more suited for entertaining clients and walk-in customers.

“This is a huge deal for me, having held office nowhere else but this building. I am excited and I certainly look forward to this refreshing change!” Liz Costello of the IT Department who has been with SCMH for 29 years, shares.

While a chunk of SCMH history can be traced in this 8314 E. Slauson, Pico Rivera address since 1968, the overall outlook is optimism and new beginnings as SCMH, as a corporate family, moves into the future.
