18 DECEMBER  2016, WHITTIER, CA Building towards their annual Christmas party, employees brought unwrapped toys as Christmas gifts for kids at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). The weeklong toy drive generated three box-full of toys that was delivered to CHOC on December 19 by COO Mike Wolfe and Employee Activities Committee Representative Karen Klosterman.

Meanwhile, the cheer-filled Christmas celebration at the SCMH headquarters was yet another opportunity to share friendship, camaraderie, and Holiday spirit among peers. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and elves joined in and hosted the exchange gift.

SOCAL Warehouse Businesess Celebrate National Forklift Safety Day with SCMH

09 JUNE 2015, WHITTIER, CALIFORNIA  In promoting warehouse safety and productivity, Southern California Material Handling (SCMH) celebrated National Forklift Safety Day by hosting back-to-back workshops and discussions among its Southern California customers.

The three-hour morning session titled Warehouse Equipment Management was attended by some 30 warehouse owners, managers, and supervisors who took on valuable discussion on OSHA and the Law, Equipment Assessment, and How Asset Misuse Hurts the Bottomline.

In the afternoon, a free refresher training course was held for customers who are in need of forklift recertification. 

Danny Barron, 25-year veteran of the SCMH training department facilitated both the discussion and the training.

Alfred Gallegos, Sales General Manager opened the event by welcoming the guests to the home of top-brand lift trucks,#Caterpillar  #Mitsubishi  & #Jungheinrich in Southern California.

Jungheinrich Wins International Forklift Truck of the Year 2015

Jungheinrich’s EFG S30s electric counterbalance truck won the International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award 2015 in the category 'Counterbalanced Trucks up to 3.5 Tonnes'.  The model’s innovative ergonomic operator cabin and extremely low energy consumption won over the high caliber international judges.

Other Jungheinrich products were nominated for the award in each of the four IFOY categories being judged.

Newly developed trucks that have come onto the European market since December 2013 were eligible for the award.  The IFOY jury chose 14 trucks and solutions from Clark, Jungheinrich, Still, Toyota Material Handling and Unicarriers for the final round from all the entries..  "2014 was a CeMAT year with a whole host of innovations.  Only the best of the best in terms of innovation have made it into the final round", says Anita Würmser, Chairperson of the IFOY Jury.
