SCMH Promotes Sustainability, Productivity, & Profitability Via the Power Up

Hosted a forum titled “Power Up” that featured the benefits of switching over to electric forklifts.

Los Angeles, California, March 19, 2014:  Southern California Material Handling, Inc. (SCMH) hosted a breakfast meeting among its top clients to promote the advantages of using electric forklifts over gas/LP forklifts at the Sheraton Cerritos Hotel.

Among the benefits to businesses, as highlighted by keynote speaker Andrew Payne of EnerSys is long-term huge savings. “Companies would save about $6,300 per forklift, per year.” Payne demonstrated in his presentation.

Keynote speaker Mark Williams from the Air Resources Board lent his experience and expertise on addressing audience questions on current regulations and how much more stringent the rules will be on carbon emissions in the future.

Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America (MCFA) was represented by Sr. Regional Director, Mark Brown who busted myths on electric forklifts. “Performance-wise, electric forklifts are at levels they have never been before.” Brown concludes.

Wrapping up the event were simultaneous demonstrations on electric forklifts and how it bests its LP/Gas counterpart price-wise, performance-wise, sustainability-wise.
