Southern California Material Handling’s rental solutions division announces the installation of a blue safety light that is an added safety system to lift trucks.

The JW Speaker Spotlight will be mounted on the brand new SCMH Rental Solutions fleet and will project blue or red LED light on the floor, 10-15 feet behind the moving forklift.

According to Tony Edgar, rental and used manager of SCMH, “This added safety feature is ideal for loud, busy work environments which increases awareness of forklift traffic.” Tony adds that SCMH Rental Solutions is prided for prioritizing safety and would like for its rental clients to benefit from this safety enhancement as well.

According to the Department of Labor, over 94,000 workplace injuries related to forklift accidents are reported every year, almost 80% of which involve pedestrians.
