Southern California Material Handling’s (SCMH) headquarters in Whittier, California was filled with happy bellies and smiling faces while generating funds for Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire for two consecutive Fridays in March—13th and 20th.

SCMH bakers donated their time, resources, and love in concocting delicious cookies, cakes, and a variety of pastries for everyone to enjoy for a minimum donation. At the end of the bake sale, employees were asked to vote for favorite goodies, the baker of which received Make-A-Wish tokens. Among the homemade contributions were:
Jim Nolan, Sales, Major Accounts – Bacon Cake
Cinese Stuart, PSSR – Crack Sticks & Salty Chocolate Bars
Pam Moross, Service – Pam’s Mom’s famous Chocolate Chip Cookies, Molasses Cookies, & Peanut Butter Cookies
Yolanda Palacios, Rental – Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Madeline Fuentes, Credit – Star Shape frosted Sugar Cookies & Cake Pops

The race was tight as all were very scrumptious. But in the end, the winning baker was Madeline Fuentes for her deliciously themed Make-A-Wish cookies.

The $361.00 proceeds from the bake sale was turned over to Make-A-Wish on March 26.

SCMH is extending to all its vendors, business partners, suppliers, and customers, the opportunity to contribute to Make-A-Wish for the benefit of children with life-threatening illnesses.
